Paul Johnson: Leads the Fire Investigation and Expert Witness Services team at the Building Research Establishment (BRE).
BRE Fire investigations carries out fire investigation activities on behalf of the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). Through the ‘Investigation of Real Fires’ contract, BRE Global staff attend fires of special interest, investigate issues that may have implications for building regulations and the guidance that supports Building Regulations i.e. Approved Documents and associated guidance. This talk will look at some fires BRE have attended in the last 16 months and some of the spin off work and considerations arising from those investigations..
