The following notice has been issued by the manufacturer:
SAFETY WARNING:
TRESEMMÉ PHILIPS FOLDABLE HAIRDRYER
As a precaution, TRESemmé Philips is voluntarily recalling and replacing a Foldable Hairdryer model produced between February 2006 and November 2008.
In very rare cases, the hairdryer can overheat when left plugged into the electrical connection. This poses, a potential fire hazard, even when the appliance is switched off.
The affected appliance has the following Product Type Number: HP4829.
Please check the hairdryer's Product Type Number, which can be found on the handle of the appliance. The affected model has a foldable handle. No other TRESemmé Philips hairdryers are affected.
If the ProductType Number of your appliance is HP4829, please visit www.philips.co.uk/replace or call 0800 331 60 90, with your hairdryer to hand. Here you can confirm if your appliance is affected and register it to be replaced.
