Anton (Harry) Awramenko served for 30 years with Avon Fire and Rescue Service. Anton is a retired Group Manager, specialising in Fire Investigation. Anton was awarded a distinction for his MSc in Fire Scene Investigation, and served as the Fire Investigation Manager and the South West Regional Fire Investigation Lead. He is a member of the IAAI, UK-AFI, CE-AFI and Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences. He has IOSH, NEBOSH, Skills for Justice Level 5 Fire Investigation, Level 7 Expert Witness Evidence, BPA Assessor, and Prince 2 project management.
Anton worked with the Forensic Capability Network (FCN) as the National Fire Investigation Subject Matter Expert assisting public and private sector organisations in their pursuit of compliance with the Forensic Regulators Code of Practice and accreditation to ISO 17020 for fire investigation. This role involved national work towards ISO 17020 understanding and accreditation, including the production of documents, delivering training, and assessing investigators and Fire and Rescue Services Fire Investigation processes and documentation.
Anton has extensive experience in high profile fire investigations within the domestic and commercial environments. This includes the production of fire investigation reports for the Criminal Justice System, the Coroner, and providing expert witness evidence in Magistrates, Crown, and Coroner’s Courts.
