IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

Old-style Yale HSA3070 Smoke Detector

Yale is recalling its old-style HSA3070 Smoke Detector, sold before December 2002, as a precautionary measure.

The company has identified a problem with a small number of these smoke detectors. Some of the products have an intermittent electrical fault, which may delay the alarm sounding in the event of an emergency.

The old-style product was sold between July 2000 and late 2002 and was mainly available from Homebase and Focus DIY stores. Some would also have retailed in locksmiths, builders' merchants and architectural hardware outlets. No other Yale smoke detectors purchased after December 2002 are affected.

If you are the owner of one of these old-style Yale HSA3070 Smoke Detectors, please stop using the device immediately. The product should be returned to Yale where it will be replaced by a new model of higher technical specification free of charge.

The old-style HSA3070 features a very distinctive design. It has an 8cm deep cover with the Yale logo attached to the casing. Should your smoke detector match these details, or if you are unsure and would like further advice, please contact us by:
