Purchased Between 1st June 2002 and 31st October 2002

It has been brought to our attention that in the event of the heating outlet in this Fire being blocked the fan will automatically switch off safely. However, the heating element may in some cases remain on and overheat causing smouldering of the surrounding materials.

Wickes advise all customers who have purchased one of these fires between 1st June 2002 and 31st October 2002 not to install or switch the fire on under any circumstances.

Customers who have purchased or have had the fire installed between these dates are requested to contact our free helpline on 0800 587 7280 immediately to check whether their purchase is affected by this recall and to be advised of the appropriate action required.

It must be stressed that no other Wickes products are affected.
