TEFAL FREELINE KETTLE WARNING
Tefal UK Ltd. has published a safety notice, warning owners of its Tefal Freeline kettles that, despite highest possible standards of manufacture, certain batches of the kettle have a defect which, in certain circumstances, could cause malfunction.
Tefal request that owners check their kettles to see if they have been made before the sixth week of 1987 or any week in 1986, in which case they should be sent to Tefal, at 11-49 Station Road, Langley, Slough, Berks, SL3 8DR, for replacement.
The manufacturing date is shown as figures, e.g. 6.7. or 6.87, meaning the sixth week of 1987, or 48.6 or 48.86, the 48th week of 1986. The date will be found on the base of the kettle or underneath the powerbase.
