Electricity fundamentals and distribution - Interactive Workshop - Tender Opportunity.

The United Kingdom Association of Fire Investigators (UK-AFI), is inviting tenders for the contracted provision of electrical training for Fire Investigators, consisting of interactive workshops to the members of the UK-AFI, according to the specification outlined in the documents referenced below. 

We are seeking tender applications related to the design, creation and delivery of training for UK-AFI members on electricity fundamentals and distribution.

Examples of topics covered should include, but are not limited to: -

• Electricity generation and transmission to the point of premises entry.
• Definition of basic electrical terms (volts, amps, ohms, watts, ohms law etc.).
• Describe common electrical systems and components found in both domestic and non-domestic settings;
• Identify common electrical failure mechanisms (short circuit, overload, resistive heating, lost neutral etc.) and how they manifest themselves.
• Circuit protection measures.
• Electrical Safety (isolation, lock-offs etc.).

And where appropriate;
• Relative case studies to reinforce learning.
• Interactive practical sessions with attendees.

The content shall be suitable for delivery as either a half or full day interactive workshop.

One copy of your tender documents must be received by email to [email protected] no later than 3rd November 2023 at 12.00pm.  Late tenders will not be considered. The UK-AFI is not bound to accept the lowest priced, or any tender, and shall not be bound to accept the Contractor as a sole supplier.
