James Holder

James is a serving Watch Commander with West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) having joined the organisation in 1998.  After spending the first 13 years as a firefighter, Crew Commander and then a Watch Commander at two of Coventry’s four fire stations, James became a member of WMFS’s Fire Investigation Team in 2011.
 
As just one of five investigators, James has carried out over two hundred fire investigations and has provided expert witness evidence in both HM Coroners and Crown Courts.
 
James is a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers, the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and holds a Master of Science Degree in Fire Scene Investigation.
