Hitachi HTDK170 Home Cinema
Hitachi Europe Limited has identified a potential issue with a small number of its DVD players that are supplied with the Hitachi HTD-K170 home cinema solution whereby there is a very small risk that customers could receive an electric shock from the unit or other products connected to it.
If you have purchased one of these before June 9th 2004 please:
STOP USING THE ITEM IMMEDIATELY
In order to ensure that your machine is safe, please take the following action:
1. Switch off the electrical mains supply at the wall immediately.
2. Unplug the power cable from the electricity supply and do not reconnect it.
3. Write down the product serial number found on the back of the unit
4. Please contact the Hitachi helpline on Freephone 0800 0856445 to arrange for your player to be safety checked.
No other Hitachi products are affected by this safety notice.
