Potterton Kingfisher Mf floor standing boiler

Owners of Potterton Kingfisher Mf floor standing gas central heating boilers, installed since 1 October 1997, are alerted to a potential electronic fault, whereby there is a small risk of gas escaping from the boiler, out through the flue into the outside atmosphere.

As a precaution and in the interests of safety Potterton recommends that owners of Kingfisher Mf boilers with a flue pipe rising vertically from the boiler, switch off their boiler immediately, by turning the thermostat knob, which is located on the grey front panel of the boiler, anti-clockwise to its lowest setting ‘0’. For added safety switch off the electrical supply to the boiler. All Kingfisher Mf owners who have had their boiler installed after 1st October 1997 irrespective of the flue type should then contact the Potterton helpline on 0800 783 2937 to arrange for the boiler to be checked.
