CAMERA BATTERIES.

If you have bought a DLI23A or DL223A Duracell XL Lithium battery marked "Made in the USA", or if you own a compact 35mm automatic camera with which these batteries may have been included, we would like to hear from you urgently on Freephone number:

Duracell has identified a random assembly defect in a very small number of these batteries which may lead to severe overheating of the battery. Duracell estimates that severe overheating may occur in one in one million OL123A and DL223A batteries now in the market place. However, as a precautionary measure all these batteries in use will be replaced free of charge.

So please ring the Freephone number now.

Should you have any problem getting through. complete the coupon below to obtain your replacement battery and receive instructions on the disposal of your old DL123A or DL223A battery.

The random defect is now corrected and. you may be assured of the safety and long lasting performance of the DL123A and DL223A lithium battery.

Duraceil stress that this recall does not apply to their well known copper and black alkaline or other batteries sold by Duracell.
